The Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Mishustin, held a meeting of the Government, at which the results of the implementation of the state program for the development of agriculture for 2025 were considered. The national report was presented by the Minister of Agriculture, Oksana Lut. According to the report, the production of agricultural products and food industry products exceeded the planned indicators. Thus, agricultural production increased by 13% compared to the base year of 2021, and the output of food and processing industry products - by 12%.
The volume of exports of agricultural products amounted to $41.6 billion. Russia maintained its global leadership in the supply of wheat, frozen fish, and sunflower oil. The level of self-sufficiency in grain was 169.9%, in sugar - 104.9%, and in vegetable oil - 236.2%. About 490 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of the state program for agriculture, including preferential lending and grant support for small agribusiness.
