Kazakhstan Plans 750 Billion Tenge for Spring Field Work

Kazakhstan plans 750 billion tenge for spring field work, with loans at 5% and extensive guarantees.

At a government meeting, Rustam Karagoshin, Chairman of the Board of JSC "NHC Baiterek," announced the planned financing volume for spring field and harvesting work this year—at least 750 billion tenge, which is five times higher than in 2023. Under the "Ken Dala 2" program, loans are issued at 5% per annum for up to 18 months; the total amount of loans already issued has exceeded 534 billion tenge, received by 4.2 thousand agricultural producers, covering over 6.4 million hectares. The Damu Fund guarantees up to 85% of the loan amount: 1.5 thousand guarantees worth 209 billion tenge have been issued. Through KazAgroFinance, preferential leasing of machinery at 5% per annum has been provided—over 5 thousand units of agricultural machinery worth more than 180 billion tenge, 90% of which are domestically produced.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov emphasized the need to control loan repayments and use funds through a revolving mechanism.
