The 35th session of the FAO Regional Conference for Europe and Central Asia was held in Tajikistan as part of the international "Youth, Science, Innovation and Investment" forum. The event was attended by Kazakhstan's Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov, FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu, Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda, and agriculture ministers from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan. Saparov noted that Kazakhstan is implementing joint FAO projects in breeding, molecular technologies, and precision farming. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Kazakhstan harvested approximately 27 million tons of grain, nearly 5 million tons of oilseeds, and 1 million tons of legumes in 2025.
Grain exports reached 15.3 million tons, placing the country 10th globally in grain exports, 2nd in flour exports, and 8th in sunflower oil exports, with shipments reaching around 50 countries. All grain elevators are integrated into a unified information system utilizing electronic grain receipts and real-time monitoring. Additionally, a comprehensive livestock development plan for 2026-2030 is being implemented. At the conference exhibition, Kazakhstan showcased a pavilion presented by the National Agricultural Research and Education Center.
