Vice Minister of Agriculture Amangaliy Berdalin assessed the epizootic situation in the Zhanibek, Kozhatal, and Aqzhayiq districts of the West Kazakhstan region. During the inspection, he monitored the progress of planned preventive measures and evaluated the readiness of local veterinary services to respond to potential risks. Special attention was given to dialogue with farmers and veterinary staff, discussing biosecurity, disease prevention, and improving veterinary service efficiency. Berdalin emphasized that regional biosecurity depends on transparent livestock accounting and timely diagnostics.
Following the visit, instructions were issued to strengthen control over vaccination and diagnostic procedures, improve animal accounting and identification, and enhance educational outreach among farmers regarding compliance with veterinary regulations.
