Soy production in the Siberian Federal District may exceed 1 million tons

Experts forecast Siberian Federal District soybean harvest to reach 1.015 million tons in 2026, a 9% increase. Sowing area is up 19.9% from 2025. The district is fourth in national ranking.

Experts from the Center for Industry Expertise of Rosselkhozbank forecast a 9% increase in gross soybean harvest in the Siberian Federal District (SFD) to 1 million 15 thousand tons in 2026. As of the beginning of the second ten-day period of June, 476.3 thousand hectares of soybeans have already been sown in the SFD, which is 19.9% higher than the figure for 2025. A total of 548.5 thousand hectares are planned to be sown. The SFD traditionally shows high results in soybean harvest; in 2025, the gross harvest amounted to 931.8 thousand tons.

The top five districts in terms of gross soybean harvest in the country is led by the Central Federal District with 4 million 280.2 thousand tons, followed by the Far Eastern, Volga, Siberian, and Southern Federal Districts.
