According to the head of Agroexport, Ilya Ilyushin, from January to May 2026, Russian food exports to China increased by 42% compared to last year, reaching $4.2 billion. This is due to high demand for Russian agricultural products in the Chinese market. Over the five months of 2026, supplies of frozen fish, rapeseed oil, soybeans, and other goods grew significantly. Russia and China are discussing expanding cooperation in agriculture, including supplies of grains and legumes, and broadening the range of meat, dairy, and food products.
