On June 24 in Guangzhou, as part of a business mission of Russian agricultural exporters organized by the Federal Center "Agroexport" together with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, a working meeting on scientific and educational cooperation took place. During the event, the founder and head of the development department of the scientific and technical company "Leshi", Li Hongpeng, reported that with the company's assistance, for the first time in history, Russian crop varieties – fiber flax – received registration for cultivation in China. "Leshi" also implements joint scientific projects in animal husbandry with Russian educational institutions and businesses. According to "Agroexport", 841 Chinese students are currently studying at Russian agricultural universities.
As part of the mission, cooperation agreements were signed between "Agroexport" and four agricultural universities (Irkutsk, Udmurt, St. Petersburg, and Altai State Agrarian Universities), as well as an agreement between Irkutsk State Agrarian University and Zhaoqing University.
