On June 24, a business mission of Russian companies exporting agricultural products began in Guangzhou (Guangdong Province, China). The event is organized by the Federal Center "Agroexport" together with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. From the Russian side, participants include the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agroexport, Rosselkhoznadzor, the National Union of Grain Exporters and Producers, the National Union of Poultry Farmers, the Pollock Catchers Association, the Russian Union of Flour and Cereal Enterprises, as well as over 100 companies from 8 sub-sectors of the agro-industrial complex, including grain, oil and fat, meat, dairy, fish, and finished products. From the Chinese side, more than 200 organizations are involved, including government agencies and industry associations.
Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maxim Borovoy noted that China is the largest and fastest-growing food market for Russia. Russian Consul General in Guangzhou Yuri Teplov reported that by the end of 2025, the share of agricultural products in bilateral trade turnover amounted to nearly 10%, and supplies to Guangdong Province in January–April 2026 increased by 43%. Head of Agroexport Ilya Ilyushin emphasized that China is a key external market, and the mission aims to expand the range of supplies and conclude contracts.
