Russian agricultural technology exports up 6% to $5.9 billion

Russian agricultural technology exports grew by 6% to $5.9 billion in the first half of 2026, driven by increases in fertilizers, plant protection products, and biotechnological goods, with Brazil as the top fertilizer buyer and notable growth in exports to China and India.

Russian agricultural technology exports in January–June 2026 amounted to $5.9 billion, which is 6% more than in the same period of 2025. The data is provided by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. The export structure includes: mineral fertilizers — $5.5 billion (+7%), plant protection products — $147 million (+7%), biotechnological products (enzymes, starches, food additives) — growth of over 20%. The largest buyer of fertilizers is Brazil.

Supplies to China increased almost 1.5 times, to India — by more than 10%. Exports of veterinary vaccines increased by 6%, breeding poultry and pigs — growth, genetic material — doubled. Main importers of biotech products: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan. Supplies of wheat, barley, and rapeseed seeds also increased.
