Kazakhstan Harvest Unaffected

Deputy Minister Azat Sultanov states heat and drought will not affect 2026 harvest. 96% of crops are in good condition.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov announced that the 2026 harvest in Kazakhstan will not be affected by the intense heat and drought. According to Sultanov, 96% of crops are in good or satisfactory condition, with virtually no damaged crops. Crop monitoring was conducted last week in main grain-growing regions, and rains in northern regions mitigated the drought's impact. Additional monitoring will be conducted in the Karaganda and Akmola regions before the harvest.

Sultanov noted that domestic farmers used drought-resistant seeds and mineral fertilizers, helping to prevent crop losses.
