During roundtables at the All-Russian Field Day, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Andrey Razin announced the development of a separate state program to improve soil fertility and develop land reclamation. The plan includes creating adaptive landscape farming systems tailored to regional characteristics, implementing digital monitoring, and practical solutions to increase yields while using resources carefully. According to Razin, reclamation is becoming particularly important due to climate risks, especially for drought-prone regions (Siberia, Altai Krai). Discussions covered the inventory of reclaimed lands, expansion of irrigated areas, digitalization of the sector, and improvement of state support.
Under the state program "Land," by 2030 it is planned to bring 13.2 million hectares into agricultural circulation and preserve 7.2 million hectares of farmland. The measures are aimed at reducing farmers' dependence on weather and strengthening food security.
