On April 14, 2026, six Chinese government agencies, including the General Administration of Customs of China, jointly released the “List of Key Alien Species for Port Control.” The list will come into effect on May 1, 2026. It currently includes 21 species. Beijing plans to make adjustments to the list as needed. The report was published by the Office of Agricultural Affairs, Beijing, as part of the Global Agricultural Information Network (GAIN).
