A state inspector for plant quarantine from the Turkestan Regional Territorial Inspection of the State Inspectorate in the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan identified a case of importing infected quarantine-regulated products. During phytosanitary control, it was established that over 5,100 petunias infected with a quarantine pest—dodder—were brought into Kazakhstan from the Tashkent region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In accordance with legal requirements, a return certificate was issued, and the infected products were sent back to the sender. These measures aim to prevent the import and spread of quarantine harmful organisms, ensure phytosanitary safety, and protect agricultural crops.
