Minister of Agriculture Aydarbek Saparov held a meeting with American scientist in plant genetics and genomics Rod Wing. The parties discussed the development of agricultural science, breeding and seed production, as well as prospects for international cooperation in the field of plant genomics. Aydarbek Saparov emphasized that the development of agricultural science is a crucial factor in ensuring food security and increasing export potential. In 2024, a Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Breeding and Seed Production until 2028 was approved.
Rod Wing noted the high potential of Kazakhstan's agricultural science and stressed the importance of integrating modern genomic technologies into breeding processes.
