Poultry Farms Submit Applications for 200 Thousand Tons of Grain

Poultry farms have applied for 200,000 tons of grain; the Food Corporation sells grain via electronic exchange, with wheat prices varying by gluten content from 104,000 to 125,000 tenge per ton, and lower-class wheat reserved for livestock feed.

The Food Corporation has received applications from large poultry farms for the purchase of approximately 200 thousand tons of grain. To ensure the domestic market, the operator sells grain through electronic exchange trading. Since the beginning of March 2026, 14.9 thousand tons of food-grade wheat have been shipped to milling enterprises. In the sales structure, the main share consisted of third-class wheat with gluten content from 23%.

The cost of wheat, depending on quality characteristics, was: with gluten content of 23-24% — 104 thousand tenge per ton; with gluten content of 25-26% — 109 thousand tenge per ton; with gluten content of 27-28% — 125 thousand tenge per ton. Wheat of the 4th and 5th classes is sold exclusively for the needs of poultry and livestock enterprises. Trading sessions on the exchange are held daily on weekdays from 10:00 to 17:00.
