Spring field work continues in Kazakhstan. According to operational data from regional akimats, agricultural crops have been sown on an area of 14.5 million hectares. Grains are planted on 10 million hectares, oilseeds on 3.2 million hectares, fodder crops on 861,400 hectares, cotton on 167,300 hectares, vegetables on 109,100 hectares, melons and gourds on 80,300 hectares, potatoes on 107,700 hectares, and sugar beets on 22,000 hectares. One of the key priorities remains providing farmers with mineral fertilizers.
For 2026, the fertilizer application plan is 2.3 million tons. Contracts have been signed for the supply of 1.5 million tons, with 1.3 million tons already shipped. Regional local budgets for 2026 have allocated 56.3 billion tenge to subsidize the cost of fertilizers. Agricultural enterprises have 133,900 tractors, approximately 5,600 high-performance seeding complexes, 71,400 seeders, and 188,500 tillage implements.
