Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Azat Sultanov, during a working trip to Kostanay Region, reported that as of 2025, the gross agricultural output increased by 5.9% to 9.8 trillion tenge. In the 2024–2025 marketing year, 15.3 million tons of grain were exported—the highest figure in the last 20 years. This year, the sown area will amount to approximately 23.8 million hectares. In Kostanay Region, it is planned to sow 5.5 million hectares, including grains and legumes—4 million hectares, oilseeds—887,000 hectares, and fodder crops—559,000 hectares.
Under the early financing program for spring field work, about 4,700 agricultural producers have been funded with 566.4 billion tenge. In Kostanay Region, 491 farmers received concessional loans totaling 46.6 billion tenge, covering 595,000 hectares. Under the preferential leasing program for agricultural machinery, applications worth 224.8 billion tenge have been received since the beginning of the year, including 351 applications from Kostanay Region farmers for 49 billion tenge. Sultanov also announced the launch of the credit products "Igilik," "Bereke," and "Zhaylau" as part of the Comprehensive Plan for Livestock Development.
