At a panel session of the V Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana, Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Talasbek Kanafin presented the results of digitalization in the agricultural sector. The implementation of the GIS system has ensured a full transition to an electronic format for providing subsidies with automatic data verification, enhancing transparency and minimizing risks of unjustified payments. In 2026, artificial intelligence tools were introduced into the system for advisory support to farmers. Digitalization of livestock farming has transitioned the entire animal traceability cycle—from registration to quarantine and deregistration—into electronic format.
The ISZH Mobile application is being developed with an AI assistant for veterinary specialists, enabling symptom analysis and disease risk detection. In 2025, development began on an information system for crop production traceability, covering the full cycle from seed and fertilizer use to processing and sale. The project has been piloted in one region of Kazakhstan. The ministry is advancing the integration of information systems with EAEU member states, including the exchange of electronic veterinary and phytosanitary certificates, which will accelerate the passage of goods across borders and form a unified traceability system within the Union.
