The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved a Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Veterinary Medicine for 2026-2030. The plan aims to protect public health from diseases common to animals and humans, as well as to protect animals from diseases and strengthen veterinary and sanitary safety. Key priorities of the Plan will include combating particularly dangerous animal diseases, increasing salaries for veterinary specialists, and expanding export supplies. Currently, 21 plants in the country produce veterinary drugs.
The implementation of the Comprehensive Plan's measures will enhance the level of veterinary and sanitary safety and expand export opportunities for the country's agricultural producers.
