Kazakhstan Forecasts Hot Summer 2025

Kazhydromet predicts above-normal temperatures for June and August, with moderate precipitation across most of Kazakhstan.

Forecasters in Kazakhstan, citing the Kazhydromet advisory forecast, predict a hot summer with moderate precipitation. Average monthly temperatures in June are expected to be 1-2°C above normal across most of the country, except in the eastern regions and the extreme northwest where temperatures will be near normal. The average temperature will be 18-23°C across most of Kazakhstan, 24-28°C in the southwestern half, and 7-17°C in the mountainous regions of the southeast and east. Daytime temperatures will range from 30-38°C to 15-20°C, with the southern half potentially reaching 40-45°C on some days.

Hot days will alternate with cool weather, torrential rain, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls. In the first ten days of June, frosts are possible in the north, east, and mountainous southeast. July is expected to be moderately hot with temperatures within normal limits: 18-24°C across most of the country, 25-30°C in the south, and 9-17°C in the mountainous regions. August is forecast to be hot across almost all of Kazakhstan, with temperatures 1-2°C above normal, except in the southeast where they will be near normal.

Average temperatures will be 20-28°C across most of the country, 16-19°C in the northeast, and 11-15°C in the mountainous regions. Moderate precipitation is expected across most of Kazakhstan, with below-normal precipitation forecast for June in the southwest, north, and center; July in the west, southwest, south, and southeast; and August in the southwest, central Kazakhstan, and parts of the south and east.
