A working meeting between Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut and Belarusian Minister of Agriculture and Food Yuri Gorlov took place at the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. The parties discussed the development of cooperation in the agricultural sector. According to the ministry, mutual trade in agricultural products and food is growing annually. In 2025, trade turnover increased by almost a third, and in the first quarter of 2026, by nearly a quarter.
Russia exports pork, sunflower oil, rapeseed, and confectionery products to Belarus. Dairy and meat products are supplied from Belarus to the Russian market. The volume of trade in mineral fertilizers grew by 6% in 2025.
