On June 2, 2026, the "AgroSCO 2026: Growth Strategy" forum was held in Minsk as part of the "Belagro – 2026" exhibition. Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Roman Nekrasov stated that in 2025, the trade turnover of agricultural products between Russia and SCO countries increased by 17%. Russian exports to partner markets grew by 12.5%. Mutual trade in mineral fertilizers in 2025 rose by nearly one-third.
Nekrasov emphasized the need for further work on opening market access, removing restrictions, establishing stable logistics, and a settlement system to boost trade turnover. The development of educational and scientific-technical partnerships was also discussed, including collaboration between research institutes and agricultural universities, joint projects in crop breeding and animal genetics, as well as the exchange of breeding stock. During his visit, Nekrasov held a meeting with Belarusian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Dorofeychik, where interaction in livestock farming was discussed, including joint projects in beef cattle breeding and sheep farming.
