Prime Minister Olzhas Bektanov, as part of his working trip to the North Kazakhstan Region (NKR), checked the implementation of the President's instructions for the development of the agricultural sector, increasing productivity, and deepening processing. He visited the digital dairy farm of Atamaken-Agro-Korneevka LLC, the Kyzylzhar Zhem farm, and the Eurasian Milk milk processing plant. The Atamaken-Agro-Korneevka farm has 2,500 head of cattle, including over 1,300 Holstein-Friesian cows imported from Hungary, Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands. The farm produced around 11,000 tons of milk in 2025 and around 3,000 tons since the beginning of 2026.
The First Deputy Akim of the NKR, Marat Tasmagambetov, reported that there are 118 dairy farms and 9 poultry farms in the region, with a total production of 208 billion tenge in animal husbandry in 2025. The veterinary industry has received funding since 2024, with around 600 veterinary facilities built over the past two years. In 2026, 1.8 billion tenge was allocated for the construction of 57 veterinary points and 2 veterinary stations. The epidemiological situation is favorable, with a 12-fold decrease in brucellosis over the past three years.
The Prime Minister also inspected an experimental plot with an ultra-early wheat variety at the Kyzylzhar Zhem farm and visited the Eurasian Milk milk processing plant, which produces a range of dairy products, including cheese, butter, and condensed milk. The plant plans to launch cream cheese production by the end of 2026. The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Agriculture and the regional administration to provide support for the plant to reach full capacity.
