Oil Refinery in East Kazakhstan to Launch Refining Unit for 5 Billion Tenge

An oil refinery in East Kazakhstan is building a new refining unit with an investment of over 5 billion tenge, expected to create 49 new jobs and increase the country's oilseed processing capacity.

In the East Kazakhstan region, on the basis of the Altyn Shyghys oil refinery in the village of Predgornoe, a refining and deodorization unit for vegetable oil is being built. The volume of investments exceeded 5 billion tenge. The equipment has been installed, and commissioning work is underway. The launch is scheduled for the end of the fourth quarter of 2026.

After reaching the projected capacity, the enterprise will be able to produce up to 160,000 tons of refined vegetable oil and 1,300 tons of lecithin annually. 49 new jobs will be created. The project is aimed at increasing the processing of oilseed raw materials within the country and expanding the product range.
