Revival of Aport in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is implementing a plan to revive its Aport gardens, with the area of new plantings set to increase to 110 hectares by 2027.

In Kazakhstan, a roadmap for the revival of the famous Aport gardens is being implemented. The area of new plantings will increase by 100 hectares and reach 110 hectares by 2027. The basis for the revival was the fundamental research of Kazakhstani scientists. In 2015, an experimental garden was laid, which gave its first harvest in 2022.

In 2025, a 10-hectare garden was laid. Specialists are preparing planting material for the planting of apple trees on 100 hectares. The Aport brand has been recognized as a priority culture of Kazakhstan as part of the FAO's "One Country - One Priority Culture" initiative.
