Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut held a working meeting with Acting Governor of the Bryansk Region Yegor Kovaltchuk. In 2026, nearly 4.5 billion rubles from the federal budget have been allocated for the development of the region's agro-industrial complex. A decision was made to allocate funds to compensate for damages to 19 agricultural producers from six border districts of the Bryansk Region, totaling 328 million rubles. The Ministry of Agriculture will also consider the possibility of providing concessional investment loans at an annual rate of up to 3% for the restoration of agro-industrial enterprises affected by the actions of armed formations of Ukraine in the Bryansk, Belgorod, and Kursk regions.
Based on the results of 2025, the region harvested a record soybean crop, with significant increases in the production volumes of sugar beets, potatoes, and vegetables. Livestock and poultry production, as well as milk output, increased; the productivity of the dairy herd reached record levels. The volume of agricultural exports from the Bryansk Region in 2025 exceeded planned targets by 30%. Products are supplied to 34 countries worldwide, with key positions including rapeseed, dairy products, confectionery items, and deep-processed products.
