On June 24, 2026, a business mission for Russian agricultural exporters opened in Guangzhou, organized by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and the Federal Center "Agroexport." The delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Rosselkhoznadzor, industry unions, and over 100 companies. On the Chinese side, more than 300 organizations are participating. Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maxim Borovoy stated that by the end of 2025, bilateral trade in agricultural products grew by 21%, and Russian exports to China increased by 20%. From January to May 2026, supplies rose by 42%.
Growth was noted in frozen fish, rapeseed oil, soybeans, crustaceans, peas, sunflower oil, pork, and offal. Russia remains the largest supplier of turkey to China. Since 2018, the Chinese market has been open to 30 types of controlled goods, including poultry meat, beef, pork, dairy products, peas, meal, and cake. For the first time, the mission is discussing cooperation in the procurement of Russian fertilizers and agricultural technologies.
