Intensive peach orchard established in Turkestan region

A peach orchard project using Turkish seedlings and drip irrigation is being implemented in Turkestan, with plans to expand to cherries and elite grapes.

In the Keles district of the Turkestan region, the peasant farm "Nurzhan" (entrepreneur Nurzhan Umarov) is implementing an intensive horticulture project. In 2025, 15,000 peach seedlings of the "Orion" variety, imported from Turkey, were planted on an area of 12 hectares. The trees demonstrated high survival rates and began bearing fruit earlier than expected. This year, the project has been expanded on the territory of the production cooperative "ULY DALA": peach seedlings were planted on an area of 30 hectares using drip irrigation.

The total area of the cooperative's plot is 51.3 hectares. Plans include further expansion of intensive peach orchards, as well as the production of sweet cherries and elite grape varieties. The project aims to increase fruit production volumes in the region.
