On June 26, the federal stage of the All-Russian Employment Fair took place. During the plenary session "Labor Market: Challenges, Trends, Solutions," Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ksenia Shevelkina presented data on the personnel needs of the agro-industrial complex. The sector employs 6.4 million people, with an annual demand for approximately 150,000 new specialists. The Ministry of Agriculture is building a personnel training system, ranging from career guidance in schools to targeted training and employment.
In 2025, over 1,000 agrotechnological classes have been opened (with more than 16,000 schoolchildren enrolled), and over 350 employers have joined in developing programs. By 2030, the number of agrotechnological classes is planned to increase to 18,000. For the 2026-2027 academic year, the targeted enrollment plan at subordinate universities is 9,500 people. This work is carried out under the federal project "Personnel in the Agro-Industrial Complex," whose key task is to increase the staffing level of enterprises to at least 95%.
