State plant quarantine inspectors in Petropavlovsk (North Kazakhstan Region) have detected the import of a batch of pine timber from the Russian Federation, totaling 33 cubic meters, infested with a quarantine pest—the small black spruce beetle (Monochamus sutor L.). The infestation was confirmed by a quarantine phytosanitary examination conclusion from the RSE on the Right of Economic Management "Phytosanitary." An administrative protocol was drawn up against the individual entrepreneur under Part 2 of Article 400 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and an order was issued to eliminate the violations. By a court decision, the entrepreneur was fined, and the infected products were destroyed.
