In January-May of this year, the production of vegetable oils increased by 12.5% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 4.7 million tons. The most significant growth was shown by soybean oil - by 19.4%. The output of sunflower oil increased by 9.4%, and rapeseed oil by 17.6%. The largest producers in this segment are the Voronezh region, Krasnodar region, and Rostov region.
The export of domestic oilseed products increased by 22% and reached $4.9 billion. The main export item remains sunflower oil, the supplies of which showed an increase of 23%, to $2.7 billion. The largest buyers were India, Turkey, Iran, Belarus, and China.
