Target Places in Agricultural Universities Increased

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has increased the number of target places in agricultural universities by a third, exceeding 9.5 thousand, to develop the industry and provide personnel.

The admission campaign has started in the agricultural universities of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. The number of target places has increased by a third, exceeding 9.5 thousand. A year earlier, about 7 thousand people were admitted under the target quota. Targeted training allows applicants to enroll on a budget, choose a future employer, and understand where they will be able to apply their knowledge.

The Minister of Agriculture, Oksana Lut, noted that the personnel issue is directly related to the development of the industry. From this year, target places are assigned to specific companies and farms, specifying the form of training, educational programs, and the number of places. The most in-demand areas include agro-engineering, veterinary medicine, agronomy, and the technology of production and processing of agricultural products.
